On Monday, November 20th, the Lee and Jim Vann Library will kick off its 1st ever Christmas book drive! We invite everyone at USF to consider donating a children’s book to Crossroad Child & Family Services. Crossroad is a not-for-profit treatment provider for emotionally troubled youth and their families that provides counseling, community-based wraparound programs, secure care, day education at an on-grounds school, and much more. The children who come to Crossroad have often been neglected, abandoned, or abused.
Our book drive will allow us to provide this organization with some much needed books for Christmas. Crossroad supports a total of 76 children, ranging from ages 6-19. Donations can be dropped off at the 2nd floor of the Vann Library under our Christmas tree. You may donate any children’s book you’d like or select an ornament off of our tree for a specific book title. If you choose an ornament, please return it with your donated book. This drive will run from Monday, November 20th- Friday, December 15th.
Please help us in making this a successful book drive for some very special children in need. For further questions, please contact Mary Redding at 399-7999 ext. 6069 or Mredding@sf.edu.
